Embodiment

What is embodiment? From my perspective it can mean several things. Are you truly grounded in your body? Do you know the difference between a felt sense and what your head is telling you? Do you have kinesthetic sense of your body? These are all good questions to ask. The embodiment I’m wanting to focus on is knowing when you have truly embodied a felt sense. I’ve witnessed this time and time again when I ask a client, do you truly believe you love yourself? Their answer is normally YES! Then we dive in and really feel what’s happening. This isn’t everyone, but the majority of the population has a challenging time truly falling in love with themselves. It’s a big AHA moment when what you thought or what you were thinking isn’t actually true in your body and your energy/nervous system. The great and fun part about this, is now you get to explore all the new possibilities that go alone with discovering how it truly feels.

The example I gave around feeling into success, money, abundance in the newsletter and then $10 appears at my feet, applies to the felt senses. Once we release resistance and can expand our container outside of our physical body and into the energy fields, it’s a lot easier to bring things in at a faster pace. The first key is you have to know how your energy system and body really feels. Once you expand out of the physical body, you’re able to tap into the potentials of what lies beyond your physical sense. The next key is becoming neutral and not having any expectations of the outcome. HUGE KEY COMPONENT!

I practiced this for years, and I can still remember the day I said to myself “WHOA!” I actually love myself. Still doesn’t mean I don’t have challenging things happen in my life or am not working through things. We all are and will continue you to do so. There are no ends points, no destination, but we can have a fun ride to wherever we are wanting to go and creation is the key step in doing so. How many times have you said to yourself “I’m going to do this, or I’m going to do that?” I have! And I have felt into each of them to see which ones are more expansive. This year, I made a commitment to myself, not anyone else on a few things I’m creating. I’ve learned over the years, when we are desiring something and wanting it to come to fruition, it’s best to keep it to ourselves until it has fully manifested. Even your best of friends or family may think they are on board with you, but their energy system can be feeling something totally different, and they don’t even know it.  I also have found it best not to ask other’s opinion of a situation, unless I know they have my back .

So here’s a simple exercise I have used personally and give to clients to start the embodiment process. Sit and get quiet as if you are meditating. Take a few deep breaths and feel the breath in the body so you become present. Feel the clothing on your body, your feet on the floor or crosslegged. Allow any thoughts to float by without becoming frustrated by them, because we all have thoughts. Next picture something that you are truly in LOVE with. I refer to this as the “LOVE SYMBOL!” This could be an animal, a mountain, a person, the ocean etc. Now imagine your LOVE SYMBOL with you, all around you, surrounding you and start to feel where this goes in your body. Is it in your heart, your feet, your lower belly? Do you feel warmth, or possibly a tingling sensation? Anything is possible given we are all uniquely different. The key is recognizing where it goes in your body. Then TRUST that sensation! As you practice this, you will become familiar with your own unique language of how energy moves in your body. I suggest practicing this for at least a week to two weeks until you can start to feel the expanded feeling. After you can really feel the Love of your LOVE SYMBOL and have felt the embodiment of it, then you ask yourself “Do I feel the same LOVE for myself?” Feel what it feels like, does your energy contract? Does it expand? Be truthful with yourself, and if it contracts get curious about it. This is a great way to maneuver your own energy system along with old belief patterns.  You can also think of it  as one of my clients recently said as “A Navigation Tool!”

Have fun practicing.

Sending Love,

Elise
