African Mystical Safari

October 24, 2023 @ 8:00 am - November 6, 2023 @ 5:00 pm

We are planning a wonderful adventure in the fall of 2024. If you are interested in this amazing journey, send us an email at info@eliseannmoore.com for more information. This adventure will take you to Uganda where we will track the Gorillas and watch them in their natural habitat, along with going on Safari in Kenya at Masai Mara which is an exquisite game reserve. The presence of the Lions and Leopards are magnificent as well as the elephants. and spending time in the south of Kenya in Amboseli with the Masai Tribe who are family to me. We will learn about their way of life along with walking on the safari and experiencing the beautiful animals and sacred land. . You will learn about their culture and ways of living off the land. They are Heart center people with great admiration for all of nature.  This Safari has limited space, so we encourage to inquire soon,

This wonderful Safari will be a bit different in that I will be offering meditation and drumming during our time together. This will be an option during which you can either participate or spend time relaxing in your room/tent, possibly by the pool with a nice beverage or sitting on your deck and taking in the beautiful sounds of Africa. Trust me they are nothing like what we hear in the states. The meditation and drumming will allow you to integrate all of the beautiful energy that the sacred land, animals and people have to offer.

We will spend time with the MAASAI and go on nature walks. Again this will be an option if you choose to. There will be additional fees for any nature walks which our guide will provide after we arrive. The fees will be a bit different in each park. Normally it’s anywhere from $15-35

Below is the flexible itinerary for our Mystical African Safari. A big difference with this trip, is that it’s a private trip. We are not going with a big outfit and this also gives us flexibility. This is how I traveled there and so glad I did and feel fortunate to have experienced Africa this way.

Please know that things happen at a different pace in this country and they tend not to rush. I learned a lot about patience, so there is this sense of going with the flow and I mean literally. It makes the journey more enjoyable.

If you are wanting to arrive a couple of days early, please let us know and we can arrange an extra stay. And same goes for departure. I encourage anyone staying in Nairobi for an extra day to experience the Karen Blixen Museum. It’s where “Out of Africa” was filmed. It has amazing energy, and the history is wonderful!

Day 02 : NAIROBI – MASAI MARA
Today our safari expedition will take us to the jewel of Kenya’s parks, the world famous Masai Mara Game (Wildlife) Reserve. This is Kenya’s number one park and is always on every tourist’s “Must see list”. Full of life with various types of animals and birds, Masai Mara crown’s the climax of every safari in Kenya. Its rolling grasslands and acacia savannah have time and again been captured on film with the movie “Out Of Africa” being the most famous. Masai Mara is home to the “Big Five” (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino) and over 450 bird species. Apart from the big five, the Masai Mara is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, gazelle etc from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania crossing the Mara River into Kenya in search of fresh feeding grounds, which takes place in late July or August. During this crossing, hundreds of animals are swept away by the first moving Mara River and others are killed by the ferocious African Crocodiles. This crossing gives true meaning to the phrase “Survival of the fittest”.
Lunch to be served at your hotel
In the afternoon head out with your driver guide in search of the shy and elusive leopard, other wild animals and over 450 species of birds of which 57 species are birds of prey. As the sunset starts to edge dip into the African horizon it will be the perfect opportunity for you to capture the beautiful Mara landscape on film.
